There was not a fauxpology, but there was a smidge of awkward backpedaling re: the fanfic thing (apparently the possibility that it might be done out of love was news to her) promptly followed by deletion and a fresh post about how her first novel was inspired by Frazer Hines in Doctor Who and so she sent him copies of the book in which the character inspired by him is graphically raped:
